Enjoy!
A Non-Traditional Path to Writing
My writing path has been a bit of a bizarre one. But then, who has a normal path to writing? We all have our twists and turns. I had to go through some failures to figure out what I truly wanted. For a while, I thought the startup life was for me. Investor calls, ping-pong nights, and all the hustle that came with it.
But the thing I enjoyed the most was writing those email updates to our investors. Funny how that’s what led me to writing in the first place. I realize now I was always meant to be a solopreneur focusing on a cause that matters to me. And my path has since led me to a new vision, one that resonates with me on a deeper level: helping other writers get paid for their words. I’m finally doing what feels right.
Creative Routine: Writing in the Flow
I usually write during the morning, as that's when I can be most productive and creative. As for notes, I usually write them throughout the day, whenever I have an interesting thought to share.
I like to walk my dog in the morning before sitting down to write; it helps me clear my head. I also realize that workouts help me be more creative in the afternoon (when I would usually get my afternoon low).
I literally work from everywhere and anywhere. Wherever there is internet, I can work. I usually love to be on couches or comfy chairs—that's where I can write best.
Every Sunday, I sit down and make a to-do list with tasks for every day of the week. That helps me organize, know when to prepare for what, and avoid burning out. It's pretty spot-on, and hardly ever does something get added to that list.
Essential Tools and Materials for Writing
I started using more and more tools and outlines/templates that just help me write better faster
Monster Insights Headline Analyzer: to shape my headlines
Grammarly: to check my grammar.
ChatGPT: to check my English or for SEO keyword summaries.
Influences and Inspirations
I really admire
